US counter terrorism official has confirmed the killing of a key Al-Qaeda leader Saddam Hussein in a drone strike carried out last week.
According to a report in American Media, the official claimed We have indications that Hussein al-Yemeni — an important Al-Qaeda planner and facilitator based in the tribal areas of Pakistan — was among the fifteen people killed last week.
Yemeni was believed to be involved in new recruitment for Al-Qaeda along with providing training. Hussein Al-Yemeni, was also involved in a recent attack on the CIA check post in Afghanistan in which eight CIA agents were killed.
